Some reflections on self-publishing...
Taking the means of production into my own hands, has given me the freedom to publish writing and audio cds that are my own response to the world in which I find myself. Unlike many authors, it also has given me the possibility of using sustainably produced materials, such as recycled papers, and of printing on demand. My poetry books were designed to be artist's books, with hand-stitching and decoration with a bead on the spine for easy identification on bookshelves.
In 2006 I launched my first non-fiction, illustrated title, Changing Nature: Eco-Notes of a Digital Woman, under GreenSeer Books. I have also published my poetry under the Henwen Publications imprint – more below.
